Yep I remember them. I always thought there was one big difference between all those other search engines and google. The other search engines had loads of sponsors adds, latest news, weather forecasts etc on their front page. Google never did that. They always opted for the clean first page with just the input bar in the middle. All their sponsors adds come in the listings. I think users prefer that and that's why google is so popular
