Smaller cars with batteries need to have a better range to make sense
Batteries are heavy and you need a lot of them for a good range, so it is not happening with todays battery technology.
Some one gets it

Just watch Harry Metcalfe who has a Youtbue channel "Harry's garage" discuss the problems and draw backs of trying to ram everybody into buying an electric car.He is spot on.

This was the car to drive in 1990, the Cadillac Brougham, I still think it is absolutely beautiful. Quite honestly it said American luxury not some of the ugly junk car manufacturers are putting out today.

I saw one this morning at the Costco parking lot and spent a good 30 minutes talking to the owner. He bought it new and it looked gorgeous. Only has 52,000 miles on it no dings no dents no scratches.

Brought back good memories when American cars had class and presence not some tiny front wheel drive hatchback or electric contraption that do not make you lust for one.

When the EPA banned lead in gas they did us all a favor and saved millions of lives.

My father used to have a 1986 Chevrolet Caprice that was a big comfortable car.

If you saw an American car in Europe during the 1970-1990's it was a big deal, I once saw a Camero, a Mustang and Corvette, but that was about it.
