Trust me I know very well the cons of smoking, I started when it seemed cool to smoke. When I was a kid growing up people smoked every where, at home, in cars, planes and trains. At stores, all public buildings including banks.

I can think of no good reason to smoke it is a very bad health hazard yest I still smoke, it is highly addictive and that is my opinion.


Smoking in movies was the "In thing" back in the 1960'2 -1980's but as we started to realize how bad it is it became frowned upon and now we have rules about how far from public buildings we can light one up and even condo associations put no smoking clauses in association by-laws.

Hell I often take out a cigarette put it in my mouth walking out of the mall or a restaurant so I can light it up as soon as I get outside, you should see the shock and surprise on peoples' faces when they see me with a non-lit smoke lol.


That all said it seems anything you restrict and limit becomes fashionable, and that is why smoking is making a come back with celebrities and actors.

I know how you feel. I was a heavy smoker for 30 years or so and I kept trying different vapes whilst continuing to smoke and inevitably the vape ended up tossed away in a draw and I was back on the cigarettes.

Then in 2017 I decided to try and go one week with no smokes and just vaping. I thought I would struggle but literally after 3 or 4 days I didn't want a cigarette anymore. I had half a pack of smokes on my bedside table that were sat there for3 or 4 months before I finally gave them away. No cravings, no withdrawal symptoms or anything and I haven't touched tobacco since. The trick is, don't try and do both at the same time because you will never do it. Just try and go a few days with just vaping and you will be amazed how easy it is

I dont think this trend will catch on. I think it's just kids trying to look rebellious. Also the government here is talking about banning smoking in pub gardens which I think will force kids to switch to vaping. When I go out in town, for every smoker I see there's at least 10 vapers

Yes i think you mean us here in the UK. The legal age for buying cigarettes will rise each year so its currently at 16. Next year it will be 17 and so on. It means that nobody who is aged 15 right now will ever be legally allowed to buy cigarettes
