Is someone creating accounts on random sites using my email?

[jag]

Last few days I get emails from random sites I have never heard of or visited asking me to verify my account. They must be entering one of my email addresses or I would not be getting these emails. Is it possibly a bot or a real person?

[CamSharks]

It's a hacker/ phishing email.

Bots makes sense if they are happening one too often.

Where is your email being posted try figure that out.

Can bots harvest email addresses from sites, that is the question.
