How often do you change the captcha on your sites

Once you setup captcha and have words or images to click on do you change those so bots and spammers do not get used to them?

Depends how many youve got ? We use 1000 different GIFs so it would have to be a very smart bot making 10s of thousands of submission to learn them and even then its only got a 1 in 1000 chance of getting it right on any particular form

@Jag - are you asking this question because you are getting spam coming in via your forms ??? This could be 'people bots'.

In order to get round the captcha images, these days spammers will pay kids from some poor country a few cents a day to sit and resolve captcha images all day so they can submit spam via your contact forms. We seem to get one or two of these every month but just ignore them. There's nothing you can do to stop them
