so after creating a menu

is there a way to get "blog" to display in top menu ?

In retro theme (i'm assuming kingtheme is similar) in theme options create your blog page. I think it might be under tools??? Then just add the link to your menu like any other link. When you create blog posts select the blog template. I don't use the blogging but that should be all you need to do.
