Vermont Department of Health advises families not use the terms son & daughter
I honestly do not know what the agenda is and the big push to make everything non-specific. I'm still calling my son "SON" I do not need any government department telling me what to call my son.

The Vermont Department of Health is advising educators and families to forego the terms "son" and "daughter" when speaking to students.
In a Facebook post on Wednesday, the department suggested using what they referred to as "inclusive language for families" in the new school year.
"Equity in the classroom is an essential piece of a productive and healthy learning environment," the post read.
The department advised using the terms "child" or "kid" instead of saying "daughter" or "son," suggesting they are more "gender-neutral" words.

Sounds like more fake Fox News to me
What it actually advises teachers (according to the picture) is "Using 'child' or 'kid' instead of 'daughter' or 'son' - This is gender neutral and can describe a child who may not be someones legal son or daughter"
Sounds like common sense to me
As always Fox News have turned it into some anti-woke story to try and please Trump

Not really the push towards blurring everything is a woke issue. No one knows if they are going or coming any more if you get my drift. Some things have clear lines why blur them unnecessarily.

I dont think this is blurring anythhing. Its simply advice to teachers to use the world child instead of son or daughter because you dont know if that kid IS their son or daughter. Plus it conveniently gets round whether the kid identifies as a boy or girlTheButcher wrote: ↑August 31st, 2024, 9:46 amtacnet wrote: ↑August 30th, 2024, 9:51 pmSounds like more fake Fox News to me

Its not suggesting that you have to now call your son child or anything like that. Its merely advice to teachers when speaking to parents
It makes perfect sense to me. What doesn't make sense is Fox News trying to blow it up into some woke issue they can blame on the "radical left"
