Three places I will not visit of live are WASHINGTON DC, CHICAGO AND SAN FRANCISCO, crime rates in those places is horrible.

I've been to Washington DC and to San Francisco several times a long time ago. I never had any issues. You do need to be aware of your surroundings, keep your head on a swivel and avoid looking like a victim. Try to avoid the bad parts of town and odds are you'll be alright.

I never made it to Chicago. I drove thru the outskirts on my way to Wisconsin, that's about it.

All big cities have areas you want to be aware of your surroundings when out especially after dark.

If I ever relocate which i have no plans it will be to New York, been there a few times for new years eve and it is a cool place.
