From an SEO standpoint its far better to have multiple headlines talking about whats in the news (and hence what people are searching for) rather than burying stuff way down on page 20 or whatever

I know and agree but we had 9 threads about the election, Biden and Harris on the first page, what happens is the same things get discussed in each of the threads. Not everyone is into politics and they just stop coming back. I don't wake up and do something just to do it, I read the emails, private messages and skype messages see which way the wind is blowing. When you have a rush of people expressing their opinion and dissatisfaction with the trends I react. About 1 in 30 people who login daily actually make a post, most people read.

Honestly I understand about the seo aspect but I never cared for it, seo is secondary to me what I care about is keeping the board productive for regular users, flowing and growing. I know this will not sound right to many here but I work on making the board function and change with what people want. What worked 20 or even 10 years ago does not today. People used to hang out on here and other forums post all day, now that things in the industry have changed no one has time to shuffle through 9 election threads then a bunch of Ukraine war threads to see a thread they are interested in.

I really appreciate the feed back and suggestions, and don't mean to upset or offend anyone I am just saying what i see and hear people want.

Just a thought, why not have a seperate section section called "Politics and More" like they do on the other forum ?

That way you could keep the main chat clear and have and still have all the key headlines for SEO.

Just dont force everything into one thread as that tends to kill it for users and seo
