I have an idea for a webcam site but need $50K so I want to take a 2nd mortgage

On my townhouse, I have about $130K equity. If it works out as I think it will I can pay it off in 2 years. What do you think about starting a new webcam site where the content creators get a percentage of the profits?

I would not go take a mortgage on the house to try a website without some serious experience in more than one part of the business. Being a model and affiliate is not all there is to it, do you have any knowledge of managing a webcam site and program, have you worked as a rep or on the backend of the site. It is a risky proposition.

If you have $50,000 in the bank and can afford to lose it if all goes upside down one thing, but to take a second mortgage on your primary residence to try a website is not what I would recommend unicams. Not saying if you have $50,000 in the bank and it fails that is peanuts, but at least it is cash not your home where you might end up facing foreclosure.

I am not trying to be negative, I wish you and your project all the very best but think about this.

Another idea if the idea is good see if you can bring in a partner who will fund most of the project.
