babes i'm so sorry to hear that, and i'm worried about that, being on the short end and paying when i don't have the $$$ to do soHeidiHoe wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2024, 7:22 pmIf you're sure you're done go see a lawyer and find out what you're in for. Look for a free consultation and get an idea of what to expect. Make a list of questions, gather all your info (finances, etc) and be upfront so he can provide the most accurate info.
Don't discuss anything with hubby. If you are divorcing him, he is not your friend right now. He is your adversary.
I've been divorced twice, initiated and paid for both. I came out on the short end of the stick twice but it was fucking worth it. It'll be a cold day in hell before I ever marry again.

If you don't have kids and you're broke it can actually be an advantage. You can't squeeze blood from a turnip. Lol. Get up to snuff on divorce laws in your area (free consultation, web search, groups, library, etc). If you are broke a cheap lawyer should suffice but you'll need to keep your thumb on him. If hubby isn't an asshole, dissolution is usually cheaper and there used to be "do it yourself kits" available years ago (in the usa).angryasshlyn wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2024, 7:38 pmbabes i'm so sorry to hear that, and i'm worried about that, being on the short end and paying when i don't have the $$$ to do soHeidiHoe wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2024, 7:22 pmIf you're sure you're done go see a lawyer and find out what you're in for. My 1st one was a dissolution, my 2nd was a divorce at large. Number 2 was a real number 2.

Annulment is the undoing of a marriage as if it never happened.
Dissolution is the legal term for what we commonly call a divorce.
I learned this when my sister was trying to get an annulment but ended up with a dissolution "Divorce"

A dissolution is a divorce where both parties are in agreement. It usually is a lot simpler and cheaper. If you start by filing for a dissolution and things fall apart and get ugly you can continue the proceedings as a full on divorce. That's in the USA anyways.

I guess it is the same as a divorce if both parties agree , which is what they did in the end.HeidiHoe wrote: ↑July 24th, 2024, 2:27 amA dissolution is a divorce where both parties are in agreement. Yeh in Los Angeles you can still call it USA but it sure is starting to resemble a third world country with all the homeless encampments on the streets.

So your wedding day was not the happiest day of your life that is what they say \, a woman's wedding day is her happiest day of her life why they make men spend insane money for a lot of people to have a good old free fun.
