clicked on "board preferences"

clicked on "edit notification options"

and highlighted "yes" to be notified by email when someone sends you a PM?

i hadn't done that

nor did i know it existed,

so i had PMs that i saw on the board, but i hadn't received an email notice about

but now i know that people can receive an email notice when PMs are also sent

even olde fogies like me learn something new every day
