QR codes everywhere
I was at lunch just now with a friend and it is a relative nice place, cost me $87 for my meal with 2 draught beers. Some places having a QR code is sensible but I go to a restaurant and they hand out a card for me to scan the QR code look at their menu, that is fucking dumb. part of the dining experience is looking at the menu.

is it a place that the menu changes often? If so it is a bit of a waist having to reprint new ones all the time.

Lots of places started this after covid and just kept with it.

That's the genius of it though, they can change it daily and not have to pay to reprint. Although tvs mounted with a digital player would also suffice

The covid-19 pandemic made QR codes a more popular way of getting data which to me seems a good feature.

I look for them on everything including websites such as PP. They are a neat addition to saving time.

There are already testing RFI chips implanted on people so bar codes and QR codes might not be too far down the line.
