Since some asshat joined a thread and ruined it with unrelated replies.

Why do threads on so many forums get hijacked and ruined for others and the OP

No moderators with balls to tell the cunts to fuck off.

Why do threads on so many forums get hijacked and ruined for others and the OP

No moderators with balls to tell the cunts to fuck off.

You'll have a handful of posts a day and the place will die in next to no time if you start running a heavily moderated outfit with rules about everything.

If it's legal, if it is not posting personal information, no escort, gambling, pharma, is about it. Key word being "legal."

With a large audience and participation you have all backgrounds, age groups, experiences, outlooks, moods.... and no one is obliged to post so you start putting in place rules and over moderating you chase away people.

When I started Sponsorchat 20 years ago there were dozens of adult webmaster forums, everyone had more rules than the next.

this is what is causing this forum to not be read and replied to as often. Too many of your main people attack and are disrespectful to other members, making them NOT want to reply or post.
This is what is keeping your posts to a minimum they are.

This was NOT about heavily moderated.
If you moderate at all it is very little.

I believe that the silent many on this great site want you to moderate a bit more, NOT heavily.

Freedom of speech is one thing, respect is another. freedom of speech is the government not businesses and not people.

If not what is the point of starting a thread or giving it a title, if some ass hat can come in and just post anything they want in any thread, related or not.

I have suggested this a few times to Butcher on pm, ban the morons.

I hear the concerns and not deaf to the ideas expressed however; do you guys know how many people ask for one member to be banned or a post to be deleted here. Just yesterday one guy said delete the posts in my thread or the thread itself I don't like the replies. One of the main reasons why adult webmaster forums died is the excessive attitude and moderation by the owners. It's a free to register forum, as long as it is legal it is kosher. The second reason i saw that contributed to the death of adult forums was excessive rules and regulations, again keep it simple as long as it is legal it is fine.

again, not asking you to go to an extreme. no need to ban, except in extreme cases.
but at least pop in and remind people to stay on the thread subject and be polite.

Taking over threads is one of the reason I don't comment as much as I used to.

Answer the question asked and keep your opinion to yourself.
want to share your opinion great, answer the question and link to your own thread where you share your opinion. link those threads to each other from your own posts in the thread.

all you need to do is nicely remind people to follow a few simple rules.
