The story about 3 helicopters flying and the one with the president and foreign minister being the only one to crash seems lame. You would think the president of a country would be flying in the best plane and or helicopter right.There are people in and out of Iran who want change. So asking could it have been a convenient way to get rid of him and have change?

It says on cnn the weather was bad and foggy, so it might have been an accident. Iran has been sanctioned since their 1979 revolution and he was in a Bell helicopter, so at the very least it was 45 years old. That is old for a helicopter and they most likely can not buy parts for it since we sanction them. So mechanical failure might have been involved. Who knows.
