Unlimited shrimp specials, high labor costs and leases made it Red Lobster chain seek chapter 11 bankruptcy protection yesterday.

One of the better restaurants here and I used to go there at least 2-3 times a month. Prices were very fair,food was good and the one I went to had great service, I hope they restructure and stay open.

Red Lobster filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in Florida, the company confirmed in a statement late Sunday night.
