In my opinion, nobody CHOOSES to be gay. Your either gay or you are straight and it doesn't matter what you are taught at school, what you see in the media or, as some people have claimed, a liberal woke culture. I dont believe any straight person has suddenly decided to turn gay because of what they have seen on TV.

Being gay is NOT a disease and clamping down on it, like we see in countries like Russia, Uganda and others, is going to have zero impact on the number of gay people in the population. Its simply going to make those people ashamed of their sexuality and drive them underground

I think the rise in people coming out as gay is simply a reflection of our times in that these days, they feel more comfortable in expressing their sexuality

You said exactly what i believe is the truth and have said the same for years. You do not wake up turn on the television and say hey I like guys not women today when you were not born gay. I know gay and lesbian people, I have friends who are gay and lesbian, they knew very early on in life they were gay to use the general term.

Most at first fought it because they thought there was something wrong with them, when they finally admitted to themselves it took years to come out tell their family and friends they were gay, but once they did come out they realized it is for the best. Hiding your sexuality and living a lie is the worst thing for any human being. My personal opinion is you can be any gender you want as long as you do not try change me or infringe on me.

You are who you are the rise in people identifying as gay is not because of tv or schools, it is because society has matured to accept we are not all the same and we should be tolerant and acceptable of others.

Live and let live is the short and sweet of it.

Honestly if you are heterosexual or homosexual what do I care, it's the same with skin colour, people go one and on about racism, stop judging people based on their skin colour, judge them for who they are. All I care about is how you interact with me.
