I hear you and it is sad any time innocent people die. There are a few ways to look at why people don't leave a conflict zone. First not everyone can just pack up and relocate financially, then there are old people and people with disabilities. Then there are those who have family in the are and do not want to abandon their elder members or less well off ones and just leave them behind. Then there are those who hope they will be spared and have a normal life. There are those who feel patriotic and do not want to just abandon their homes leave it to the enemy. It is not a simple answer, let's pack and leave there is a war going on.
