Eurovision song contest 2024 what a dismal failure

I feel every year the contestants get worse and this year has to be the utmost terrible bunch of singers they have ever had. As with every other major music, film or sporting event is it highly political, and this year was no different.

Switzerland's Nemo won last night, is this the best Europe can do. I feel they gave him the award because he was sinking a controversial song and was the first openly non-binary performer.

Oh and don't get me started about the poor choice and performance the UK produced. What the fuck was that by Olly Alexander?
The public gave him zero points and that was the best outcome.

https://www.theguardian.com/tv-and-radi ... -alexander

"Eurovision lost almost a quarter of its UK viewers compared with last year’s Liverpool extravaganza, amid a row over Israel’s participation.

Saturday night’s grand final on the BBC was watched by an average of 7.64 million people, peaking at 8.46 million, according to official figures provided by the agency Digital i. Britain’s entry, Olly Alexander, finished in 18th place with 46 points after he was awarded zero in the public vote."

It was a disgrace to past winners who were actually talented singers such as Céline Dion.

When I think of Swiss people it is babblers in pin stripes, old men making watches and chocolate stores.

Stereotypes I guess
