Server memory question memory used and swap

If the memory used is 24% why is 8% of swap used. Isn't there plenty of memory still available not to start using virtual memory, does this slow the site load times.

You want your ram to be available and use some of the hard disk for virtual memory instead.

Same as gas you fill it up with unleaded it's basically the same thing, some charge more because they spend more on marketing their brand.

The cost of gas is so high in Montreal i fill up what ever is the cheapest
