I know you simply like to blame absolutely EVERYTHING on Biden but there are many factors at play here leading to increased prices
1. Firstly, its Spring. And EVERY spring, oil and gas prices go up as people take to their cars more. An increased demand leads to an increase in pricing. Typically it peaks around June / July time and then starts to tail off again
2. The US (and gbloabl) ecanomic outlook is a lot more positive than people initially thought. Trump was trying to say that the US was heading into recession, well that hasn't happened and if economies around the world are doing well, that means that there’ll be increased consumption of oil and an increase in prices. The big wild card of course is China who's economy is still struggling
3. Obviously the war in the middle east is also making investors uneasy. Iran-backed Houthis supporting Palestinians in the Israel-Hamas war have been targeting vessels along the Red Sea, prompting major tankers to avoid the area that connects to the Suez Canal, a critical pathway between Asia and Europe. The rerouting of trade away from the Red Sea continues to lengthen the petroleum (and global trade) supply chain, pushing up shipping costs and tying up more crude oil and refined products in transit.
4. OPEC continues to limit it's supplies, removing around 5 million barrels a day from the global supply chain.

It's been two years of brutal war since Russia invaded Ukraine, yet despite sanctions Russian oil is still flowing into the EU. A Global Witness investigation reveals that in 2023 the EU imported 130 million barrels of seaborne refined products – mostly diesel – from refineries processing Russian crude.Feb 23, 2024

The U.S. Census Bureau reported in March that California's population as of last July had dropped to an estimated 38,965,000. That's down by 75,400 in a year — and 573,000 below California's peak of 39.5 million in 2020...
it's even more now....
