Yes you should get SSL, google chrome announced that in June of this year they will start alerting visitors if your site isnt on SSL

You can get them for free these days, and even if you have to pay for it, you are helping your site get listed higher on big G.

Its always good to start with SSL from the beginning, adding it, later on, can lead to rank drops if you don't get the urls redirects right.

Some free ones require you to renew them several times a year. Just buy one, set and forget or get ones without the renewals.
