We were forced to do this by the new, more stringent policy of Visa and Mastercard. The new regulations impose liability and severe penalties on the website owner (us) if stolen credit cards are used to purchase subscriptions from affiliate links. Therefore, we have decided to discontinue cooperation with most affiliates.

I have no idea about the particular account but when I contacted them today asking about closing accounts they sent me this canned generic reply which has no relevance to my question. I never registered to their program so it is bullshit what they replied.
