The affiliate system is one of the items on the agenda. Can anyone recommend a plug&play affiliate system? Ideally one that you've used or currently using.

I have nothing bad to say about CCBill they are solid they always pay affiliates on time, I have used it for years in the past as an affiliate and as a program owner. Only thing their fees are on the high side. When I was using them it was around 15% off the top per sale and about 5% hold back on a 6 month rolling reserve basis, in a nutshell 20% of the sale was theirs.
You might want to talk to TacAmateur's owner Adrian he might have solutions you might want to investigate. I know for a fact if you get your own billing account you will save a heck of a lot off that 15%.
Peace

Actually yes! We created a platform for Webmasters to receive and process all types of content removal requests (including DMCA) in an optimized and automated way that saves time, money and reduces legal risks.
We are looking for webmasters who receive these notices and want to optimize this process.
We are offering free access - all we ask if for your feedback so we can continue to improve our products for you
and eventually come up with a monetization structure that makes sense

Hey everyone, we are working to improve our legal compliance platform for Webmasters and I would love your feedback on what type of content removal notices there are and how prevalent are they?
I'm very familiar with DMCA... What else is there? Are there content removal requests due to 2257? If so, how do you deal with these or any others that you receive?
In the interest of complete transparency, we already built a tool that optimizes and automates processing of legal notices and we are working to improve it.
I appreciate very much any info you can provide.
If you want free access to our tool, here is the https://pages.delevit.com/dmca-complian ... ponsorchat
We are not yet charging for it and not sure when we will.
Our goal now is to get your feedback and make it amazing for you!

There are some shitty people out there!
If you have a website where people can upload content, the website owner is at risk too if they don't comply with removal requests and properly track evidence of their compliance.

Over the past 20 years I have had a lot of members past and present tell me this board is not normal because they can not not upload images to the posts. I said it then and still stick to my point that if you own a domain or operate a website ona domain you are responsible for what is hoisted there. You minimize your exposure and liability by not allowing others to upload content to the site.
I am following two instances of sites in the news for being investigated for allowing user uploaded content, I have my thoughts on both and in the one I think they do not have a leg to stand on. If you do not delete content once it is disputed you are on the hook. One of the sites is clearly bordering on that in my humble opinion.

Legal compliance is important. Many people let it slide, thinking it will never catch up to them.
Maybe it won't. But, maybe it will.
Every ignored DMCA notices starts a 3 year clock, each piece of content can cost you as much as $150k if you pissed off the wrong person.
These days, not too many people are suing, yet. All I can tell you for sure is that laws are becoming more stringent, not less.
p.s. you may want to consider posting a DMCA policy just in case
