You get what you pay for, this $24 Five Guys meal story makes me laugh

You get what you pay for period. I love Five Guys it is my first choice when eating a burger. They have the highest hygiene standards, they cook every burger and fries to order, you can see them change gloves when touching uncooked burger patties and change when touching the buns or cooked product. The bags of potatoes are right there with a date stamp, they cut the fries daily not some weeks old frozen junk and cook each order. Not to mention you can garnish it with your specific items right in front of your eyes.

You want to eat junk burgers you can save a few bucks. But you will never have freshly cooked from good ingredient burgers and fries, or see your food cooked fresh in front of your eyes. I don't see what the big deal is here, the $24.10 total includes the $2.19 tip btw.

Go eat those precooked microwaved junk save a few bucks if you care so much about money but not your palate or your body. We are what we eat. You want to eat crap and get sick and develop disease go for it, it is very simple.

This story makes no sense to me.

You can buy a used car for $1000 or a Rolls Royce but you know what you want and can afford.

Assuming that is the same type of meal in question it is a double patty burger. And that is quite a lot of fries way more than you get ina. small fries order at other junk burger places.

"A controversial $24 receipt from a Five Guys restaurant has recently put social media users up in arms and is the latest sign that high inflation under the Biden administration remains a drag on everyday Americans.

An X account named Wall Street Silver published a picture of the viral receipt, which he said he took from Reddit, on Friday.

"Five Guys prices are out of control," the X user wrote. "$24 for one person."

The receipt shows that a bacon cheeseburger was sold for $12.49, along with a regular soda priced at $2.89. A small portion of fries was also added on — for a whopping $5.19.

The order total came to $21.91 with tax, and the buyer added a $2.19 tip — bringing the grand total to a pricey $24.10."

You go to a gas station pay $2.50 for a 500ml bottle of water, my point is Five Guys is not in the el ceapo fast food burger game, they do nice freshly cooked food. The other place I love is In-N-Out burgers they do great burgers too.

Why do people tip on take away orders?

You don't tip the McDonald's drive thru assistant, you don't tip your grocery store clerk, what is with tipping when all they did was take an order hand it to you.

Family of 4 go eat that's a $100 a bit much for a burger and fries for the typical family if they are working minimum wage.
