what do you update 1st the mysql or your scripts

I want to update a script of my site and it requires mysql 7 or higher my current version is 5.7 ( I think) Do you update the script first or the mysql I am confused.If I go to mysql 7 then my existing script will not function. I am confused. Which one do I do first.

I agree. Even if you updated your script first, then it still wouldn't work until you updated MySql anyway

I get it thank you for the advice I will ask the host to do the Mysql and I will then update my scripts.
