I dont think he will win the immunity argument though. That sets too much of a precedent for future presidents to do what they hell they like and answer to no one. That's probably an argument too far in my opinion

I admit I could be wrong but most observers (democrat and republican) dont think he will win the immunity argument.

If you think about it, if all future presidents had absolute immunity then they could be like Putin and just have their political opponents killed and there is nothing anyone could do about it. Im not saying Trump would do that but how do we know some future president woudn't do it ??

Effectively a law like that could turn America into a dictatorship. I would be VERY surprised if SCOTUS rule in his favour on that one

Then it comes down to did he or did he not insite an insurection or try to overturn the 2020 election. That's something that SCOTUS will NOT get involved with. SCOTUS are not a fact finding court in that they dont have trials or witnesses like other courts. They simply rule on constitutional arguments like the immunity thing

Everybody knew that SCOTUS would rule the way it has over him being on the ballot, there was never any question of it going the other way. And most people also know what they will say about Presidential immunity too
