Do they really believe by sending them more weapons Ukraine can take back the lost territories?

Its not about gaining back the lost territories anymore, its about stopping Russia from taking the whole of Ukraine.
For the last 2 years the Ukrainians have not moved forward but neither has Russia. Now by blocking the aid, Trump is giving the green light to Putin to go ahead and take over the rest of the country.
Putin has stated many times that his aim is to wipe out the elected government in Kiev. That's why he attacked Kiev first and he's certainly not going to stop at just the eastern territories. Infact now he is likely to be much more aggresive and much less likely to want to make a deal with Ukraine because he knows they are running out of ammunition
You might not give a damn about Ukraine but the point is that it's a democracy that voted in 2014 to move away from its ties with Russia and instead move more towards Europe and the USA. That's why Putin invaded Crimea in 2014 and thats why he is now trying to take the rest of the country
If we allow a democracy to be taken over by an agressive dictator then thats a clear message to other dictators around the world (eg China, Iran, North Korea etc) that they can do the same

From what I remember 1/4 or 1/3 of the people did not vote in the election you are talking about.
Also what happened to that president that got deposed without any kind of election in Ukraine ?
Your democratically elected bullshit is just bullshit.

You need to learn your history. Thats not true, the entire country voted in the election. It just didn't come out the way Putin wanted it to come outSandman wrote: ↑February 26th, 2024, 12:47 amFrom what I remember 1/4 or 1/3 of the people did not vote in the election you are talking about.

There was Viktor Yushchenko (a pro western president) and Viktor Yanukovych (a pro Russian president). Yuschchenko was the clear favourite to win but then he was suddenly poisoned by Putin (another of Putin's murder attempts) He survived but his face has remained permanently disfigured

Afterwards, it was announced that Yanukovych (the pro Russian guy) had won the election which was a clear and obvious case of election rigging and resulted in mass protests all across the country (the so called Orange Revolution). Eventually Yushchenko was elected President.
Yanukovych returned as president in 2010 but he refused to sign the EU/Ukraine trade agreement and instead wanted to take the country back towards Russia. He was also accused of major corruption involving payments from Russia. This again sparked mass protests across the country (the 2nd orange revolution) and in February 2014, Yanukovych fled the country
Putin never accepted this. He believes that the western governments had somehow arranged these protests and that's when he decided to attack Crimea
Putin also blamed Hilary Clinton as she was an outspoken supporter of the orange protestors and what happened ??? 2 years later her email server was suddenly hacked right before the election and Donald Trump was elected president

YES because we are a democracy and people are allowed to criticise us. Infact several world leaders have condemned the decision to deport illegal immigrants to Uganda (not something I personally agree with)BrasSmonkey wrote: ↑February 26th, 2024, 4:43 amwould you be ok with putin doing the same shit? in the uk affairs. saying you guys are fucking assholes for deporting refugees to warzones. would you be ok with that?tacnet wrote: ↑February 26th, 2024, 3:14 amYou need to learn your history. Don't tell anyone this is a secret we planned, funded and initiated that 2014 coup. Where we took out the elected president installed our puppet.

you are wording it wrong... they are refugees. if sent back most likely they are going to die. they are not just leaving for money. you can be killed getting food or the grocery is closed because of war... go watch some videos of warlords killing people randomly.

If the American people truly dont want to support Ukraine anymore then why wont the house speaker bring it to the house for a vote ??? Everybody knows that if he did, it would easily pass

Thats NOT how democracy works. There is a clear majority for this in congress and they should be allowed to vote on it.BrasSmonkey wrote: ↑February 26th, 2024, 3:08 pmthey know ukraine is lost!!! even if they keep some putin will take it. there is nothing money can do. you wait until those ballistic missiles get to russia. they are going to destroy ukraine.
