So we finished our dinner I am walking my date to her front door, she says to me. Out the blue had not said a word all night about this. "If you hurry back to the restaurant she might still be there!"

I made a total fool of myself, I just said thank you for coming to dinner with me I hope we can do this again, she closed her front door without another word. I feel like a right old prick today.
