when did you realize that life is not for ever

When my family had a surprise 50th birthday for me I realized 2/3rds of my life was over. That is when I started enjoying it, my dear wife was still alive and I stopped working like a dog and took time to have fun.

When was it you realized life is not for ever, or have you.If you have to as I am 74 years young and still have hope to see another Christmas even with all my medical conditions.

Just over 4 and a half years ago it hit me. Ever since I have enjoyed every minute of every waking hour like never before. I mean it.

Funny you said that Glenn, it just happens one day you wake up and realize time has moved on and you were too busy doing the daily routine to realize it. My son asked me a few years ago what age he should start saving for retirement, i said when you get your first pay check, before you know it you will be retiring.

Eat healthy,exercise, don;t drink too much, stop smoking all things I want to do so when I get older I will not have serious health concerns. I did all that the first 40 years and time to start taking things seriously. I even had my first prostate exam at 40 and it is not nice but has to be done when you get to the big four zero.

When my grandpa had his heart attack last year I stopped smoking for a week and tried to stay off fried food, it did not last over a week.
