The Dutch national museum said Thursday that one of its prized possessions, a rock supposedly brought back from the moon by U.S. astronauts, is just a piece of petrified wood.

Rijksmuseum spokeswoman Xandra van Gelder, who oversaw the investigation that proved the piece was a fake, said the museum will keep it anyway as a curiosity."

Apparently Japan's vehicle landed upside down so they cant get any power from the solar panels

I think we will see a manned moon mission within the next 5 years or so. Things are hotting up now with China, India and now Japan reaching the moon. Lets face it, the only thing that is going to make the US do it again is if they think that somebody else might beat them to it LOL
