As Pope's go this Pope Francis is a cool guy. He's not stuck in the traditions from 1000 years ago. It's not a full "Let's marry gay couples announcement" but according to this CBS article he's given the green light for priests to bless same sex couples. It's a decent enough step in the right direction for Catholic couples who are gay and want to get married. It beats saying no to gay marriage and you'll burn in hell plus all that bullshit that religion has been saying for ever.
