will we have a recession in 2024
If we move into a recession next year how bad will it be and how will it affect our industry overall.

If interest rates keep going up it will slow down business investment, property prices will come down and the economy will slow down which means porn sales will be affected along with every other sale.

Well Bloomberg is saying the UK could very well be in a recession now
Britain is probably already in a recession after soaring interest rates and rising unemployment turned households more cautious about spending, according to an analysis by Bloomberg Economics."

watch out Europe a recession by the end of this year might happen see this news story
"Mario Draghi has delivered a downbeat view of EU economic growth, forecasting a recession by the end of this year, as he warned that the European project’s long-term survival depends on urgent political integration."
"The former Italian prime minister and European Central Bank president said the recession was unlikely to be “deep” or “destabilising”, but his assessment was more downbeat than the recent forecasts of the ECB or IMF, which both expect a rebound of European growth from the final months of this year."

What I'm seeing is akin to what they called "Stagflation" in 78-80 and it's what unseated President Carter.
Right now in the US, jobs pay more, there's more work available than ever before.
But cheap retail goods are disappearing, higher wages have translated into higher rent, which means higher housing prices. Because our refineries are made for the rough stuff instead of the sweet crude, we're exporting our oil instead of driving with it and importing the cruder crude for a higher price, shooting retail prices higher. The war in Ukraine means that manufacturing in Europe is more expensive and getting diverted to defense.
So while Wall Street and banks are loving this inflation, it also translates into stunting growth. Car repoes are surging, while prices on new cars go up, and dealers are left with huge stockpiles. Consumer demand is dropping, but prices keep going up. There's no incentive to grow business if interest rates eat up profit. As boomers are getting older, they're also pulling from their retirement funds for medical costs and rising rents, sucking investment funds that drive business.
I'm not seeing a crash ahead, but like in the late 70's and the pre - internet boom 90's, things just suck.
