I glanced over the article and the point to make it safer is reasonable. I have always said using peoples' images to make AI content is a bad idea.

Unfortunately I think the cat is already out of the bag with AI. Sure the western democracies can pass laws to try and legislate it but thats not going to stop somebody in say Russia, China or some rogue state from using it to try and influence what our public sees and thinks. It doesn't really matter what laws we pass, no one country owns the internet

I'll bet there is going to be a huge wave of fake news and fake A.I. generated content from the likes of Russia and Iran in the run up to the 2024 US election.

Its a very dangerous tool and I really dont know what the answer is

AI might very well become a major risk to society,as much as I want new tech this thing can get out of control.

Not to sound negative my gut feeling is AI is going to become a hassle for many industries and people at large.

EO’s are quicker than passing legislation

Congress can pass a new piece of legislation over turning an EO and refuse to fund the thing.
