why infinite scroll ?
.
i was just curious as to why some people like to put infinite scroll on a blog?
if they do, then surfers won't ever see the side-bar categories or sidebar ads

You can have a sidebar on an infinite scroll blog, FB does similar. It's the footer that's never/rarely seen on those.

I have 2 pin sites and never understood why they have to scroll for ever but I just go with what people like.

you could make the sidebar sticky if you want.

its kind of like a hamster wheel. it keeps the viewer on the page longer. navbar would be used for linking other pages and a sidebar

No, it's a separate sidebar, static. Imagine a pin board, then imagine that someone put that in a 70% wide container on the left for the infinite pins and a 30% wide sidebar on the right where when the surfer scrolls down to the end of the sidebar, it sticks and stays there until scrolled back up.

On a couple of blog networks a few years ago, people were dicks and clicked "flag" a lot, so I used peel ads to cover that up in the corner.
Then later I found out that just hiding them with some CSS did a better job. I doubt many sales were made with those..
