Here is my non-scientific analysis , my eyes go to animated images and banners, those old school static banners fade in the background. Simple fact I see the animated banner son this forum every time i refresh a page, I miss the static ones. Get real get with it, even if your client says I need a banner keep it cheap, tell them animated works for clicks.
