Blocking IP's left and right

#1

Post by phonesexy » September 20th, 2023, 6:23 pm

Hello can you tell me if this is not so good an idea. My server has been getting spammed by bots for a week, my host keeps blocking the IP's they see being used to hit the server but they have blocked so many I am thinking is it me or their company being targeted and should I move to another host. Blocking hundreds of IP bands (or whatever it is called) might cause real people to be blocked from my sites, what do you think. Do bots use certain Ip's that no one else does or what.
Thanks for the help

There is always that possibility, how ever you have to stop the bots if it is affecting your server.

You got to do what it takes to stop the attacks

After some time you might consider removing those IP's from your block list, with time spammers get busted and cease their attacks. --

If you have not noticed a significant drop in your traffic then do not unblock the rogue ip's.
Give me celebrity porn

I have a problem with blocking IP's let me explain why. Yes it stops current attacks but in the long run you are losing potential traffic form those IP's.What do you think about this position?
