It works for me, he must have done a server move or some core OS update as mentioned.

looks up and running to me I wish it had an SSL for the domain, that would make getting search traffic for the site easier.

It is no longer trademarked according to the USPTO and it looks like it was first filed in 2000

quite possibly. That is why I posted it.
I don't know if you have to "renew" trademarks every now and then. Not sure how all of that works.
I do know that it is easy to miss a rule or 2 when filing official stuff and that not all of them notify on it very well.
example: When we started my wife's business the bank and that state (for tax id #) required that we either be a corp of some sort of file a DBA. We did the DBA.
Every thing is cool, we got our bank account, we have our sales tax number and we start business, that was in 2001 I think.
Along about 10 years later I was at city hall to file some taxes in person and the clerk asks me "did you know your DBA expired?" and I'm like "I didn't know they could expire". It had been expired for like 3 years at that point.
It turns out they expire every so many years (forget what it is right now). Didn't affect anything. Bank didn't notice. State tax id was still good. City still let us file our business license every year.
So yeah, it is entirely possible that some paperwork didn't get returned and that got it declared dead and he was totally unaware of it.

You do not need a TM from the Government to be trademarked.
You just need to enforce the Trademark
The TM documentation makes it easier.
Unless the laws have changed. which is possible, but I dont care.
I can still use the TM..

That's the way I understood it as well. You're free to use TM or SM but not R unless you actually register it. SM isn't recommended for use in porn for obvious reasons.gotonudecom wrote: ↑September 20th, 2023, 8:55 pmYou do not need a TM from the Government to be trademarked.
