I just tested positive for Covid-19

I am no longer a Covid-19 virgin, I just tested positive. I had some headache, body ache and a bad dry cough out the blue yesterday. I was up all night since lying down started my cough. I feel quite worse today, the chills and muscle pain has piled on. But honestly I can handle it. I an isolating in one room with it's own bathroom and have the window open 3 inches to get fresh air, using the patio door to go out smoke and sit outside.

Yes I know it is the first day and things might get worse over the next few days before they start becoming better, but hey I am no Covid-19 virgin now.

The annoying dry cough lasts for weeks, even after you test negative

Use a hot shower, humidifier, vaporizer or other means of making steam. It will soothe a sore throat and open your airways, making it easier to breathe. Eat a frozen treat. The coldness may help numb the pain and soothe your throat if it is sore from coughing.

Thanks for that advice brotha I can't go get anything I'll ask my son to go. Best thing to ddo is try not spread it by mingling with people for a week.

Thanks for that advice brotha I can't go get anything I'll ask my son to go. Best thing to ddo is try not spread it by mingling with people for a week.

Thanks Jag, you know a couple of things I noticed, I am tired round the clock, body aches like crap, the headache is nasty, the cough has become no existent except when I lie down. I am sleepy all the time which is a miracle for me, I usually sleep 4 hours a night on a normal day.

I was sitting in the back garden, my neighbour saw me from at least 30 feet and said I should be wearing a mask. I can not for the life of me understand why people wear masks out doors, or when running, bicycling or driving alone. There is no way you are going to catch anything when there is no one around you for hundreds of yards. Not to mention unless you are wearing a well fitted surgical mask all the crap out there does nothing for a virus.

The other one I heard from a few people today was have you retested, what is the purpose I felt like crap yesterday tested was positive, I feel the same today. It is not going to go away in a day or two.

Apparently the symptoms have changed now with new versions of omicron evolving all the time

When I had delta in 2021 it was all about the cough which lasted for weeks, even after i tested negative. No headaches or body aches. Then my father had it last month and he had serious diarrhoea and headaches but no cough

Anyway hope your back on your feet soon bud
