... zug that is not a secret on the skim
I know it's not a secret.. I'm just saying that is how they make their money form the free skim. Which, obviously, they are not updating their skim links. If they did they could make some money, or even SELL the skim traffic to someone.

I beg to differ because the free skim traffic is worthless and they were probably getting so little of it with less people trading it made no sense to bother updating the script.

most tgp have trades from years ago. they are closed to new people.

I would agree. We can spot skimmed traffic coming from our affiliates a mile away by looking at the percentage that click through to the join page
With good click thru traffic, the join page clicks is over 30%. Even higher if they link directly to the webmodels page
With skimmed traffic, the precentage drops to 1 or 2% and they VERY rarely make a signup
I understand. I'm just trying to point out that they complain about not making money while they do not update their skimming links to sites that could help them make money. Instead of that one shitty link I mentioned earlier.

If skim traffic is bad traffic then why are free sites still doing it? I don't care to skim traffic. I mean, I get it, I see why they do. But, also, it depends on the site it's coming from and where it's going; the type of page that is loading. Like, a FPA (remember those?), or a Game Splash page, or to a free tour to a specific niche etc. TGP's skim to other TGP's I get it.

TE's skim should be specific to it's Type and Category lists it provides. Probably tedious work to figure all that out, but well worth it in the long run, for them.

Skimming, like I have said, is something that I don't really want to use, BUT, if I could skim to a specific set of random links that are related to my sites content topic, that are like a simple FPA Ad page, that would lead to the said content for me to make money on a signup, I might do. Skimming traffic to a free site, since I am a free site guy, is something that I am really not willing to do. I would rather have my visitors see what they want to see when the select a link.

As the script is now, I cannot select my own links to skim to. It only chooses from the trades I have, like the way its oldschool way is supposed to do with a trade or TGP script.

Times are different. I think they could do a lot better and make a lot of money if they put some time into it.

Yes you can skim to your own pages. Just add your link as a new trade and set the force to however many clicks you want to send

As you say, you have to be careful with skims (and popups) these days as you run the risk of pissing the user off so he wont come back

Getting the user is one thing but you have to give them a reason to want to come back and too many skims or popups is a sure fire way to piss them off.

The real problem is there is not enough people left who trade clean traffic.

Well.. go figure ..Seems TE has been updating their skim links .. been seeing several different skim links going out from my site other than the one I have previously mentioned.

I think they are working on it!

.. furthermore ... I think they just are being lazy. They complain that they do not make any money so why bother with actively managing the great software ... TE needs to just implement such mentioned things and make some adjustments. They could still make a bunch of money. Why they do not, is beyond comprehension of the ultimate goal of PROFITS.

Then again ... MAYBE THEY ALREADY KNOW ALL OF THIS?? Maybe that's why it is taking soo long for them to respond with support? Maybe they are already working on all of this and such things will take time to re-write. Maybe.

I mean, They did respond to this thread months ago. Why would they do that without a plan?

For all we know they are following this thread and reading all of our BS .. and laughing at us all because they are doing what we all have been complaining about. Hmm.. :?:

We are providing them all the info they need to update and make money so we can still use the great TE .. lol.

This is where it all counts and how the TE owner makes their money ..

When the user installs TE, they need to choose which type of site and niche that best suits the site the user is using it on. This way, TE can assign what skim links to send out to best make them money.

I mean, after all, if they DID respond to this thread AGAIN, don't ya'll think they know they would just get swamped with replies and questions and support requests and so on and so fourth? Totally makes sense that they would not respond until they are full well and ready. Interesting and smart!

.. From what I have been gathering about the TE3 v3.332 is that it's no wonder why they say there is no money to be made since if users only use the script to trade links and not use the out.php?s=100&u=domaintrade.com then they do not get ANY skim traffic from the free users.

It's not enough for a free user to use the script to just trade links. The user MUST implement the s=100&u= in their site content links in order for TE to get skim traffic. Just saying. I'm sure ya'll know this, but, just wanted to say.

Pretty sure .. not 100% (I'm no TE expert) but from what I have noticed, none of the links in trade lists ever have skimmed to somewhere else other than the trade. But since I have been adding link tracking in some areas (not link trade lists) with the s=100 I have noticed TE skimming. And just recently to sites I haven't seen before. It's always been to the same site I pointed out many posts ago to the system tool promo thing. Now I see skims going to dating and gaming promos.

Thats correct. If you dont use the out.php file then TE3 has no way of tracking or skimming your outgoing traffic

So if users are not using skimming then they could just hard link back to their link trades and bypass out.php altogether. You would loose a lot of the functionality like productivity tracking etc

I follow you guys but what is the point of using the script for just hard links and not using it to trade traffic based on productivity.

I've always used the out.php like as in site.com/te3/out.php?id=tradelink.com .. te does not skim from that. I suppose you could bypass the out.php all together, but I don't see why that would be beneficial. You have to use out.php?s=100& whatever other parameter you want to use. I guess you could use ?s=100&id=tradelink.com when building your trade lists .. but then 2% of those outs would go to TE skim links.

If the guy from TE was active we could clear these questions up in a minute.
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.
