Signups vs Rebills
I'd be interested to know what kind of rebill ratio you guys get with other membership programs ? And is that something you look at when choosing what sites to promote ???
I was chatting to one of our affiliates the other day who said that we have one of the highest rebill ratios of ANY site that he promotes. He's been with us a little under a year and currently gets around 3 times as many rebills as he does signups.
He only sends a handful of signups each month but has already built up a big membership base so is earning a LOT of money with us without having to do very much. We do all the work our end to drive up the rebills and as time goes on, his membership base is only going to keep growing !
I see a lot of programs out there offering 70% comission or whatever but they rarely update their sites (if ever) or do anything to keep their users rebilling
Whereas we add over 200 updates a month and give them full access to https://www.chickpass.com/ specifically to keep the users engaged
It seems to me that a lot of program owners don't put in the effort and instead are relying on you affiliates to do all the work

Updates in the member area is the key element to seeing good rebills, this has always been my experience with sites I promoted in the day.

.. Or, if you're lucky, some members just plain forget to unsubscribe; not being worried about an extra $20 on their CC each month.

I never really understood 'charge backs'. I mean, I understand that if a customer is not happy with their membership after joining they can 'ask' for a refund. But, if they just plain forget to unsubscribe, then that's their own fault. How can they 'charge back' for forgetting to unsubscribe? I can't charge back on my monthly cable subscription if I forget to unsubscribe from the service.
What's the difference between a 'charge back' and a 'refund'? If I may ask.

Refunds are where you have agreed to give the user his money back for whatever reasonZug wrote: ↑July 27th, 2023, 7:46 pm

Chargebacks are almost always fraud (or at least claimed to be). As a seller, you really cant argue it either. The credit card company simply takes their money back and you get hit with a $20 - $25 charge. But its not so straight forward for the user either because their card is cancelled and the bank will have to issue them a new one
As a merchant, you have to keep your chargebacks low (ie under 2%) otherwise you can get into problems. Ours are never more than about 0.3%

If anybody wants to try us then I can pretty much garantee that after 6-9 months or so, you will be doing 3 times as many rebills as you do signups

But how many of those go on to rebill ???greatpornlinks wrote: ↑August 1st, 2023, 10:35 am1:560 banner clicks is my average this year for trials.
Just looking at last months stats, if I take an average affiliate (been with us around 18 months) they did 11 signups and 31 rebills last month. That's nearly 3 times as much income from rebills as they get from signups
This is my point. Its not so much about what percentage you get per signup, its about how many of those signups go onto rebill. Thats where you can really boost your earnings
