Is Elon Musk going to change the Twitter logo to "X" ????

I read online today Elon Musk is thinking of changing the blue bird logo of Twitter, some suggested he might use "X" which makes sense as he runs, iAX now and X features in Tesla and SpaceX....

What have you seen posted about this change.

X has a special place for Musk, if you remember X.com was renamed paypal, then sold to Ebay, Musk bought back X,com form paypal, yes he has SpaceX logo, now he started up xAI, so I can see him change the Twitter logo to X, it all ties in nicely.

Not sure why he wants to get rid f the bird, maybe he is not a fan of birds whop knows. But he didn't waste time, he said it yesterday and got it changed today.

What about all those tweet buttons and icons that are hosted on millions of websites all over the world ??? And what is it that users post now if they are not called tweets ?????

This sounds like another really stupid move from musk. First he limits the number of tweets (or X's) that you can read without paying and now he has just dropped what was probably one of the world's most recognisable logos !!!!

All this whilst Meta are right on his heels with threads

You have to give the man credit for not caring about what people think, he does what he wants. I think he's got some sentimental attachment to X.com and how it made him rich, so wants the re-brand his companies to "X"

Yeah that's what I read too but it doesn't make any sense. You've got the twitter icon on this forum, we have it all over our sites and so have millions of other websites. And for him to just drop that for sentimental reasons is a really bad move in my opinion

If I changed all our twitter icons to 'X' icons then nobody is going to know what it means. Or worse still, everybody will think its a close button

You cant really rebrand a site called Twitter.com. For starters its what birds do so you have to have the bird in the logo. And secondly everybody is still going to call it twitter and tweets no matter what Musk decides to brand it

Facebook rebranded themselves into Meta but they weren't stupid enough to try and drop the facebook logo
