credit card dispute on paypal

I helped a guy on another forum setup his site and he sent me a paypal on February 2nd 2023,he wanted me to do more work today and said I have to do the upgrade for free,that was never the deal,and when I asked for $200 he said unless I do it he will open a dispute with paypal get back his payment, I replied go a head you have no leg to stand on, he replied he will get it back because he paid with his credit card to my paypal not from his funds in pp.

There was a discussion here about how long you can charge back on paypl I can not find ii.Is he right in insisting because he paid me using a credit card not his paypal funds they will reverse my paypal payment?

It varies by country.

PayPal fees are now not refundable. If you lose, you may actually end up with -10$.

Paypal aren't really interested in what agreements you had. They are only interested in if its fraud or not so he would have to get hold of his bank and claim it was a fraudulent transaction.

Assuming its not too late (which it probably is), the bank would immediately cancel his credit card and his paypal account would also be suspended

A similar thing happened to us a while back and its a huge pain in the ass

Paypal aren't really interested in what agreements you had. They are only interested in if its fraud or not so he would have to get hold of his bank and claim it was a fraudulent transaction.

If paypal or the bank realize he was in porn they will cancel his account yesterday.

On top there is a good chance they will restrict or close both accounts.
