I understand. I don't think the hun is using tgpx though either. The script they use should be adjusted to allow a gallery to show the photos in htm pages, or at least be accepted and moderated.

TGPx script users will know that a submitter cannot exactly submit a gallery into TGPx when the gallery uses htm pages for each of the photos. The script wants a direct path from the corresponding thumbnail image.ext or video.ext directly to the full stand alone image.jpg file .. jpeg png gif etc; so the submitter can use the scripts' thumbnail crop function directly from the submit page. Also, so the script can detect the amount of image files .. files sizes .. file types ( .jpg .png .mpg .avi etc.) .. and some other things I'm cannot recall atm. ~ But what I am thinking is this could be easily modified inside the script since it is open source, pretty easily for someone that knows what they're doing with coding.

You can tell the script what file types to accept for submitters content, so, I dunno, maybe could add .htm .html to allow it hmm I'll have to experiment with that.

A codre could do it. Since they would have to add some exceptions looking for media content file types only and not .htm files that go off somewhere else totally.

A submitter still can submit a gallery that uses htm image files though .. but the submitter has to upload their own preview thumb and the tgpx moderator of the submissions will need to inspect the gallery if they want to add more specifics about the gallery's content page.

As I have been submitting my gallery pages into it, but it cannot detect any images in the gallery. It does detect the thumbnails tho.

If you try to use the submit page and you experience problems with easily submitting a gallery, please let me know. Submissions are open to general public, currently. still creating the main gallery page index.

Yes I realize this. I wouldn't have even tried it out except that it was apparently upgraded in late 2022 to v11 php7-7.4. Since installation I've had no issues with it. It works for what I need it for. Do you know of any current alternative tgp scripts? Glad to hear of any.

Accept all kinds of recip links.

Some sites like to use their trade script to count the outs on their submitted tgp gallery reciprocal thumbs or text links. Which means the tgpx scanner for recips must be able to understand how to find the recip when a gallery submitter submits a gallery and is required to have a recip link.

It can be configured according to these docs. I just don't understand usage of the 'Regular expression' option.

An example of a recip using a script to count clicks, such as TE3, is:

Which some tgpx submitter forms can't detect the recip. This is the fix .. but I don't understand the 'regular expression' code.

So I am wondering if anyone here has any experience with tgpx gallery template pages.

I am trying to have one page with all the newest posts on it and then have a next page that lists gals but not the same ones just seen on the previous page. I'm stumped with it, or am missing something. I know there is a trick to it, but it is evading me. Anyone know how?

Would be nice .. but as far as I can tell he hasn't been around for almost a year or more. Seen his last posts about the upgrade on gfy and greenguy boards as I was trying to find some additional info about templates.

a week of work with this has turned into like 5 weeks so far.

Main gallery page is still being edited. Have to re-do the text gallery list so it looks better on smaller screens.

I have added custom gallery fields for submitters to use to add their site name and link that goes along with the gallery - only for text gallery listings. Like:
Thu Jun, 29 + 24 Pictures of … [gallery description link] Posted by [site name link].

The submit form may or may not work if you want to try and crop your own thumb from gallery option. Haven't had many tests done with it. Lots of details to work out eventually. Trying not to get too crazy with it.

Really wish I could figure out the ordering of posted gals. I'm missing something when getting the $galleries from db and displaying them without showing the same gal twice throughout pages.
