I just turned on my laptop the fan is making a lot of noise, a few weeks ago it would stop and my crunching noises, my hubby took it out cleaned it with compressed air ina can he bought, there was dust all over it, it started to work normally, now it's making a lot of noise as it spins. Is the noise okay as long as the temperature stays normal. It's working at 60 degrees celcius right now. And it's working right around 1800-2000 rpm.

If cleaning it out did not make the thing work without noise, take out the center screw on the fan drop a minimum ( minimum the key word) wd40 in there put it back together and see if it works with no noise. If this does not fix things, get a new fan save the 'puter.

It is recommended you replace the fan on any computer every 6-6 years anyway
