All south koreans have woken up a year or two younger today

This is because South Korea had 3 different ageing systems before now

• 1. South Korean Age - You are 1 when you are born and you get a year older each year on Jan 1st

• 2. Korean Age - you take the current year and minus the year you were born and that is your age

• 3. International Age - the age the rest of the world uses

As of today, they have switched to the international system (except the military and a few other places apparently)

Actually you would be 2 on your first day. You are considered 1 when you are born and then they add a year every Jan 1st. So you would be considered 2 years old by Jan 1st
