This might not be a full on coup but its certainly a big crack in Putin's grip of his country
Prigozhin is only 500 miles away from Moscow and seems to be gathering support from various factions of the Russian army
One thing for certain, Putin can NOT let Prigozhin remain in power after this. One way or another he is going to have to take him out and how will that look to the Russian people ?
I saw a video where Prigozhin himself said the "special military operation" in Ukraine was started under false pretenses
Hopefully Ukraine will be able to take advantage of this turmoil

I've been reading online articles today and some say this could be a planned game by Putin and Prigozhin to give the Ukrainians a false sense of division and have them come in be wiped out. I seriously doubt this, this looks like Prigozhin has a sense of power or PSTD forom fighting and is thinking he can over throw the Russian government with his 25,000 troops. That is a non-starter, what I think will happen he will be arrested or someone will kill him in the next 48 hours. Unless Putin acts fast and hard this can get widespread and be the end of Russia.
One thing it tells me is this Prigozhin. is looking out for himself and not his country or people. Thew last thing you want is for a military coup in your country at a time of war. If he had a beef with the government he should have waited for the conflict to end then said his peace or even now in private. Not taking sides in the war just saying you do not do this if you love your country. All it has done is distracted the Russsians and gave Ukraine a dream come true. If the Ukrainians can not make the most of this situation and get on with their counter offensive well I have no idea what they will do when this is over.

I dont think this can be called a serious coup attempt. Prigozhin only has around 25,000 soldiers and its not clear how many of them would take up arms against the Kremlin if it came down to it
Far more worrying is if Prigozhin can take over any of the Russian nuclear bases that are in his path. If that happens we could be in a whole new ball game

He probably secured more money for his company but this will be the end of him. Putin can not allow this clown to pull off another stunt like he did this one. He is a dead man walking in my humble opinion.BrasSmonkey wrote: ↑June 24th, 2023, 2:02 pmWagner mercenary group boss Yevgeny Prigozhin has reportedly said that his troops are turning back from their advance on Moscow to “avoid bloodshed”.

Wagner denied the peace deal.. Civil War still on..
Evgeny Prigogine. Officially. ! I did not accept any proposals from the President of Belarus Lukashenka. Negotiations were held but were unsuccessful. Everything that is said in the media is a blatant lie. via google translate

I am just reading the BBC website and saying what I see posted there. I guess we'll see what he does next.

This has left Putin looking very weak to the rest of the world
Not only has his army performed very poorly but his authority was challenged and he's obviously had to cave in and strike a deal with Prigozhin. That's something you simply cant do in a dictatorship
Russia's allies will be looking at this and seriously wondering whether they want to get involved with Putin at all
