The most eyebrow-raising statement was toward the end. The owner claimed Black Americans are spoiled and expect the same “free sh*t” in Jamaica they supposedly get at home."

No idea what Jamaican laws are like and whether they have race based discrimination statutes but she said the unspoken part out loud. I am sure many people across the world have biases and or personal experiences that they feel strongly about when it comes to other people but somethings are not to be said out loud.


I'll give her credit for saying what she feels but I also feel is is not nice to hear a black person put down another person of similar colour. It does not help race relations to put things mildly.

You'd have to check Jamaican laws to find the answer. U.S. laws don't apply there. When you enter a foreign country, you subject yourself to their laws.

I know they eat ackee and codfish,and it is popular, I have a friend who dates a second generation Jamaican and been to her house for a surprise party she did for him.I tried it and it is good food.
