It would be VERY difficult for someone to sue.

Firstly they would have to show that the statement was a lie (ie they did pay you)

Secondly they would have to show a measurable loss as a direct result of your statement. That means they would have to show that they lost X dollars as a direct result of your statement. Its not good enough to just say it was a false statement, they have to be able to put a monetary value on it which is almost impossible to do online

Thirdly they would have to be willing to spend the money to get you to court. A defamation lawyer will probably cost several thousand dollars, is it worth the risk ?

Finally you are allowed to express an opinion. You can say "xyz are shit" and thats perfectly ok because you are expressing an opinion
