The Board has gone dark

Hi guys


There was some chat here about the white theme getting stale and some said it was not comfortable on the eyes, so here goes a dark theme.

You can switch back and forth between the light (original) theme and the now default DARK one with a few simple clicks.

HERE are the steps.

If you notice any errors or have suggestions please post away in this thread.

Let me know if you think we should have the original white theme as default.

I would for sure keep the original as default. But I think color schemes are a lot of a site's style. Black and white, to me is generic. Optional color styles, or schemes, are great to have to give users more options for personal preferences and comfortable viewing, imo.

I wanted to try to show the colors for each but it seems the interface doesn't allow that. Plus, I don't know the basic values and titles of each color area of this dark mode board.

Well that looks like some coloring fun. I do believe I did this a long time ago with a board I was trying out with phpbb .. I wish I could look it up if I could remember it - haha. It's a lot of trial and error I do remember.

So I was looking around because I am now curious about this myself, lol. phpbb is a nice script.

I came across this guy's video about it. He is using a plugin of something called Magic CSS .. I applied it to my browser just because I am curious but I haven't tried it yet. Anyway ... Here is the video. Just thought to share for the good of humanity. I hope it helps or is something new for one to use for educational purposes of some extent.

TBH that dark look you have going on is depressing so I can live with this one.
